The Role

As a National Traffic Planner, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management and optimisation of a national general haulage fleet. Working within a fast-paced transport environment, you will be responsible for ensuring customer requirements are met efficiently while maintaining high service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working closely with colleagues across the wider business to ensure smooth operational delivery.
  • Maintaining accurate transport records and ensuring compliance with company procedures and relevant legislation.
  • Coordinating vehicle presentations for inspections and MOTs through approved service providers.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Previous experience within transport planning, logistics, haulage or a traffic office environment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organisational abilities and the capacity to manage competing priorities.
  • Good problem-solving skills and confidence in decision-making.
  • The ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
