We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established company in Wymondham looking for a reliable and hands-on Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician. The role focuses on maintaining production equipment and site facilities to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Candidates with plumbing experience are particularly encouraged to apply, however, those with general maintenance experience will also be considered, including at a junior level.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine maintenance, servicing and repairs on machinery and equipment
- Diagnose faults and resolve issues promptly to minimise downtime
- Complete planned preventative maintenance tasks
- Work closely with production teams to respond to urgent maintenance needs
- Keep accurate maintenance records and job logs
- Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures at all times
- Manage spare parts and liaise with external contractors when required
Skills & Experience
- Background in maintenance, mechanical engineering or plumbing (industrial experience desirable)
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. City & Guilds Level 2 or 3) advantageous
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on tasks
- Willingness to work occasional overtime
- Must be based locally and able to respond to out-of-hours breakdowns
