We're supporting a leading manufacturing business in their search for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join their Engineering team at a large-scale process manufacturing site in Norwich. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineering graduate looking to build a long-term career within a complex and highly regulated industrial environment.
As part of a structured graduate development programme, you'll gain hands-on experience across mechanical integrity, asset reliability, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement, whilst working alongside experienced engineers and developing towards Chartered status.
Core Duties:- Supporting the integrity and compliance of pressure systems and critical plant equipment
- Assisting with reliability improvement initiatives across site assets
- Analysing inspection data to identify maintenance and performance improvement opportunities
- Participating in root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions
- Providing technical support to maintenance, operational, and project engineering activities
- Working with suppliers, contractors, and specialist engineering partners
- Supporting preventative maintenance planning and continuous improvement projects
- Developing and improving engineering systems and procedures
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles
- Keen to work towards Chartered Engineer status
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Industrial placement, internship, or manufacturing experience would be advantageous
