A well-respected, progressive company in central Norwich are recruiting an Assistant Accountant to support the Financial Controller. They are looking for a Graduate in Accountancy & Finance, Economics, Maths, or Business who is looking to study ACCA or CIMA. This is a newly created role offering structured development and broad exposure across Financial Control, FP&A, and Finance Operations.
The role:
- Assisting with month-end journals, reconciliations, and management accounts tasks
- Drafting reporting packs for internal and external stakeholders
- Preparing VAT working papers
- Supporting audit deliverables and first-line audit queries
- Maintaining process and control documentation
- Supporting the budgeting and quarterly reforecast cycle
- Assist with the production of KPI and dashboard reporting
- Running ad-hoc analysis across revenue, cost, and headcount
- Ensuring data accuracy within FP&A models
- Daily bank postings, invoicing, and credit control
- Purchase ledger processing and supplier onboarding check
- Payment run preparation and expense compliance
- Monthly reconciliations between finance and CRM systems
The person:
- A recent graduate, who is looking to study ACCA/CIMA
- Strong IT skills, in particular a good working knowledge of Excel
- A confident communicator and effective team player
- Ambitious
