We are working with a well-established business within the construction industry, based near Needham Market, who are looking to recruit a Management Accountant into a newly created role. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this position will play a key role in supporting financial reporting, analysis, and commercial decision-making across the business. Due to the remote, site-based location, candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and be able to attend site five days per week.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation of monthly management accounts, including journals, analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Contract and project performance analysis, including standard vs actual cost and margin reviews
- Quarter-end reporting and schedules for senior finance review
- CIS processing and monthly returns
- Cashflow reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and end-of-month reviews
- Supporting audits, ERP/system improvements, and ad-hoc finance requirements
- Part-qualified or qualified (ACCA / CIMA)
- Previous experience in a management accounting role, ideally within construction or a project-based environment
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in a site-based role and collaborating with operational teams
