Maintenance Engineer

We are supporting a growing, specialist, manufacturing business in their search for an additional Maintenance Engineer. This is a rare day shift opportunity, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week. This position would suit an apprentice trained Mechanical Engineer looking to gain Electrical experience. This Maintenance Engineer works closely with a seasoned Engineering Manager who is keen to mentor and develop those joining the business.

Core duties include:

1. Assisting the Production team to ensure that machinery operates as required, and promptly addressing any breakdowns or issues that arise.
2. Collaborating closely with the Production Engineer to efficiently manage workload in accordance with operational requirements.
3. Planning and executing scheduled maintenance in line with a comprehensive service plan, adhering to strict timelines to maintain high standards of machine and equipment performance.
4. Continuously driving improvements to existing processes.
5. Ensuring that production line setters receive any necessary equipment training, particularly where additional knowledge is required for both new and existing machinery.
6. Designing new jigs, fixtures, and processes aimed at enhancing production efficiency.
7. Demonstrating a thorough understanding of quality management systems.
