About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Corporate Tax Manager to join a growing specialist team focused on R&D tax relief and innovation incentives. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a diverse client portfolio, deliver high-quality technical work, and play a key role in driving business growth. You’ll be working with a range of innovative businesses, helping them maximise tax benefits while ensuring compliance with UK legislation. Alongside this, you’ll lead and develop a team, contribute to strategic initiatives, and build strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of R&D and innovation-focused clients, acting as the main point of contact
- Lead the preparation and review of R&D tax relief and Patent Box claims
- Provide technical expertise and advisory support on complex tax matters
- Oversee project delivery, ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met
- Manage financial aspects including WIP, billing, and fee recovery
- Develop and mentor junior team members, fostering a high-performance culture
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains
- Contribute to business development, including proposals, tenders, and client growth
About You
- Professionally qualified (CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent) or qualified by experience
- Strong background in corporate tax, ideally with exposure to R&D incentives
- Proven experience managing client relationships and portfolios
- Commercially aware with experience in billing and fee management
- Strong leadership skills with a passion for developing people
- Proactive, solutions-focused, and confident in decision-making
