We are seeking an experienced Commercial Finance Manager to play a key role in driving business performance through financial insight, strategic analysis, and effective commercial partnering.
Reporting to the Finance Director, this position will lead a small finance function while working closely with senior stakeholders to support decision-making, profitability, and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities Partner with senior leadership to provide financial analysis, commercial insight, and strategic recommendations that support business objectives and growth plans.
Lead and develop the finance team, creating a high-performance culture through coaching, mentoring, performance management, and succession planning.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, ensuring robust financial models, accurate reporting, and clear visibility of business performance.
Produce and review management information and KPI reporting, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities while providing proactive recommendations to stakeholders.
Drive financial control and cost management initiatives, promoting strong governance, commercial discipline, and effective risk management across the business.
Support business improvement and investment decisions through financial evaluations, business cases, and profitability analysis.
Oversee statutory compliance, audit coordination, and financial reporting requirements, ensuring deadlines are met and accurate records are maintained.
About You Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or degree-qualified in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
Significant experience in a commercial finance, finance business partnering, or financial management role.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop and motivate teams.
Strong analytical and financial modelling skills with advanced Excel capability.
Experience of ERP systems and management reporting tools.
Commercially astute with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Manufacturing or operational sector experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
