As the business continues to grow, they are now seeking to strengthen the team with the appointment of a Production Quality Engineer. This is a newly created role that combines production efficiency with a strong emphasis on quality assurance, continuous improvement, and compliance with industry standards.
Core duties include:
- Design, develop, and optimise manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, yield, and cost performance
- Monitor production activity and identify opportunities to reduce waste, downtime, and defects
- Investigate process and quality issues, implementing robust corrective actions
- Lead root cause analysis using structured tools such as 8D, Fishbone, and 5 Whys
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
- Develop and maintain SOPs and work instructions to ensure consistency and control
- Analyse production and quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and process validation activities
About you:
- Experience in a process, production, or manufacturing engineering role with a strong quality focus
- Good understanding of quality systems and standards
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt advantageous)
- Strong analytical mindset, with experience using data to drive decisions (SPC, process capability, etc.)
- Proven problem-solver with experience in structured root cause methodologies
- Effective communicator, able to work cross-functionally and influence improvement activities
