About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HR professional to join a growing organisation as a HR Business Partner. This is a broad generalist role responsible for delivering operational HR support, managing employee relations matters, and partnering with managers to drive effective people practices across the business. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the employee lifecycle, providing expert HR guidance, and helping to foster a positive, high-performing workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Employee Relations & HR Support
- Manage employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, capability, and absence management processes.
- Provide advice and guidance to managers on employment legislation, HR policies, and best practice.
- Support organisational change initiatives and employee consultation processes where required.
- Ensure fair, consistent, and compliant HR decision-making across the business.
- Employee Lifecycle Management
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and induction activities.
- Coordinate talent reviews and succession planning initiatives.
- Manage contractual changes and employee records.
- Support performance management processes and development planning.
- HR Data & Reporting
- Produce and analyse HR metrics including absence levels, employee turnover, recruitment activity and costs, internal progression and mobility.
- Use people data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Maintain accurate HR records and ensure GDPR compliance.
- Employee Engagement & Wellbeing
- Support employee engagement initiatives and wellbeing programmes.
- Partner with managers to enhance employee experience and retention.
- Promote a positive and inclusive working environment.
- Continuous Improvement
- Review and improve HR processes, systems, and procedures.
- Contribute to HR projects and wider business improvement initiatives.
- Drive best practice and help develop high-performing teams.
About You
Essential Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a generalist HR Advisor, HR Business Partner, or similar role.
- Strong employee relations experience with the ability to manage cases independently.
- Experience partnering with managers and influencing stakeholders at different levels.
- Solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.

- Data-driven approach with the ability to interpret and present HR metrics.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Proactive, approachable, and confident in challenging constructively when appropriate.

Qualifications
- CIPD Level 5 or Level 7 qualification (or equivalent experience).
