Currently recruiting a new role for a Deputy Head – Pensions Projects & Governance based in Cambridge. The role reports to the Head of Group Pensions and will be responsible for the effective governance and strategic development of the pension arrangements by delivering complex projects and advising on governance frameworks, trustee support, and regulatory compliance. This role ensures the organisation fulfils its statutory and best practice duties in the management and oversight of its pension schemes, including USS, NHS, MRC, and in-house schemes .

The role requires a combination of high level of intellect and extensive collaboration and influencing skills with a diverse range of stakeholders (including Trustees, pension scheme committees and working parties, associated employers, regulatory bodies, and providers).

You will be able to demonstrate good project management skills, have team management experience, and have worked in a large-scale complex business. Knowledge of UK pensions legislation and governance expectations, including the requirements of the Pensions Regulator.
