I’m partnering with a highly respected Cambridge based company to recruit a Corporate Accountant into a key role within their finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys owning the detail and working closely with senior stakeholders. The role offers broad exposure across corporate accounting, tax, compliance, and financial reporting.
Reporting into the Head of Finance, the Corporate Accountant will play a central role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the firm’s corporate financial reporting. You’ll manage day-to-day accounting operations while supporting strategic initiatives such as budgeting, forecasting, and systems improvement.
The key duties are as follows:
- Preparation of the quarterly management accounts and statutory financial statements
- Ownership of the annual audit process
- Supporting the annual and three year budgeting process
- Producing quarterly forecasts and analysis
- Preparation of corporate tax returns and statutory filings
- Maintaining robust financial controls and best practice accounting standards
- Partnering with stakeholders to review and improve finance systems and processes.
You must be ACA or ACCA qualified with a background in audit, you must have advanced excel skills and strong communication skills with the ability to partner across a business. The role will suit somebody with a strong technical grounding who enjoys working in a small team. Based in central Cambridge this role offers hybrid working with a focus on a positive work life balance.
