A growing and ambitious group of businesses is seeking an IT Manager to take ownership of IT across the organisation and support the next phase of growth, including ongoing acquisitions. This is a broad, handsâon role where you will act as the lead for IT across a diverse group environment. The business operates across multiple sectors, with different systems and ways of working, requiring a pragmatic and flexible approach rather than a fully standardised IT landscape.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will ensure IT services are reliable, secure and fit for purpose, while supporting business growth and ensuring systems work effectively together across the group.
Key Responsibilities:- Ownership of IT services, systems and support across the group
- Acting as the senior point of contact for IT across multiple business units
- Managing and developing the Group IT Administrator
- Managing relationships with external IT providers and suppliers
- Setting and maintaining IT standards, policies and a practical roadmap
- Overseeing cyber security, risk management and IT governance across the group
- Supporting acquisitions and ensuring systems and processes align effectively
- Remaining handsâon across support and infrastructure where required
- Managing major incidents and driving resolution
- Providing clear IT reporting, risks and performance updates to senior leadership
- Managing IT spend and supporting investment decisions
- Experience in an IT Manager or senior IT role
- Experience managing or supporting junior IT team members
- Strong understanding of IT service delivery and infrastructure
- Experience working with outsourced IT providers or MSPs
- Comfortable in a handsâon, evolving environment
- Experience working across multiple systems or business units
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
