An established and innovative organisation is seeking a proactive and highly organised R&D Project Coordinator to support the successful delivery of multiple projects across a busy Research & Development function. This role will be responsible for coordinating project plans, monitoring progress, managing documentation, facilitating meetings, and ensuring stakeholders have clear visibility of project status, timelines, and deliverables. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working with a variety of stakeholders, and be motivated by helping teams overcome obstacles and achieve project goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Coordination: Create, maintain and update project plans, timelines and key milestones. Monitor project progress and ensure information is accurate and up to date. Coordinate project activities across multiple workstreams. Support teams in maintaining momentum and meeting agreed deadlines.
- Reporting & Communication: Produce regular project status reports for senior stakeholders. Track and communicate project risks, dependencies and potential delays. Escalate issues where necessary to support effective decision-making. Ensure stakeholders are kept informed of project progress and priorities.
- Project Governance & Delivery: Support the consistent application of project processes, methods and standards. Assist in ensuring projects progress through agreed lifecycle stages. Monitor actions and follow up on outstanding deliverables.
- Documentation & Administration: Maintain accurate project documentation and records. Coordinate project reviews and ensure documentation remains current. Set up and administer projects within internal systems and tools. Provide administrative support to project teams as required.
- Meeting Management: Schedule, organise and facilitate project meetings. Prepare agendas and distribute supporting materials. Record minutes, actions and decisions. Track actions through to completion.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong organisational and planning skills.

- Experience using Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident working independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- High level of computer literacy.
Desirable Experience
- Previous project coordination or project administration experience.
- Experience within a technical, engineering, manufacturing or product development environment.
- Familiarity with project management software such as Smartsheet, Teamwork, Microsoft Project or similar.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams.
