We are supporting a leading organisation in their search for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to take ownership of site-wide H&S strategy, compliance, and culture. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a key role where you'll shape standards, influence senior stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement across a busy operational environment.

The Role

  • You'll be the go‑to H&S specialist on site—providing expert advice, strengthening systems and processes, and ensuring the business meets national legislation, ISO standards and internal requirements.
  • Key focus areas include:
  • Developing and improving H&S policies, risk assessments and safe systems of work
  • Leading audits, inspections and incident investigations
  • Supporting contractor management and project safety
  • Delivering training, toolbox talks and internal H&S communications
  • Monitoring performance, reporting trends and recommending improvements
  • Promoting a positive safety culture across all departments

About You

  • We're looking for a hands‑on professional with strong H&S experience in a highly regulated sector. You'll bring:
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Level 6 qualification
  • Strong knowledge of H&S legislation and best practice
  • Experience conducting audits, inspections and complex risk assessments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to influence, engage and drive standards across a fast‑paced operation
  • ISO 45001 experience and exposure to multi-site environments would be advantageous
