Our national based client is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join their expanding finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional who is currently studying towards a professional accounting qualification and is looking to develop their management accounting experience within a fast-paced and collaborative business environment.
As the Assistant Management Accountant, you will support the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting across the business. You will work with a range of stakeholders, helping to ensure the integrity of financial information while contributing to the continuous improvement of finance processes and reporting. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and building strong relationships across a business.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and analysis of income performance against forecast and budget, including divisional reporting.
- Support the monthly management accounts process, including journals, accruals and prepayments.
- Assist in investigating reporting discrepancies and ensuring the accuracy of financial data.
- Support the analysis of business expenses against forecast and budget.
- Support the preparation of monthly forecasts and annual budgets.
- Provide ad hoc financial reporting and analysis as required.
Qualifications
- AAT qualified (or finalist) and currently studying towards ACCA or CIMA.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proactive, flexible approach to work.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Workday and/or Acturis (advantageous).
- Multi‑entity or group finance exposure (advantageous).
