Our client is a well-established organisation based in Norwich and are now seeking an Interim HR Manager on a 6-month contract.
You will manage day-to-day HR operations, maintain employee relations, and support ongoing people initiatives during the assignment. This is a strategic, hands-on opportunity to keep HR activity running smoothly and to influence short-term improvements that will benefit the organisation long after your contract ends.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day HR generalist support across employee relations, absence management, performance processes and casework
  • Deliver consistent, timely advice to managers and employees on policies, employment law and best practice
  • Oversee recruitment activity and onboarding to maintain staffing levels and candidate experience
  • Maintain and update HR records and produce regular people metrics and reports
  • Assist with policy reviews, contract changes and compliance matters
  • Support training delivery and development initiatives as required
  • Ensure confidential handling of sensitive employee information

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven HR generalist experience, ideally at manager level (minimum 3 years’ relevant experience)
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and practical application in the workplace
  • Demonstrable experience handling employee relations and formal procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with confident stakeholder management
  • Comfortable working autonomously on a temporary assignment and prioritising competing demands
  • CIPD qualification is preferred, with demonstrable HR generalist/manager experience
