Are you an experienced accountant with a passion for driving financial efficiency and supporting strategic business decisions? If so, this newly created Management Accountant position is for you, as you will join a dynamic finance team and work closely with the Finance Director to support continued growth and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Management Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our finance function, including:
- Supporting the Finance Director in the overall management of the finance department.
- Managing the accounts payable process and weekly multi-currency payment runs.
- Preparing monthly management accounts and quarterly VAT returns.
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
- Providing insights on property and overhead costs and driving cost-saving initiatives.
- Assisting with the year-end audit, liaising with auditors and tax advisors.
- Supporting the renewal of maintenance and energy contracts.
- Offering backup support to the payroll department as needed.
Key Requirements
- A qualified accountant (AAT or equivalent), with 3+ years of management accounting experience.
- Experience with payroll processes is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive approach to cost control, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Confidence in solving complex problems with a logical mindset.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential.
