I am recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business for a Stores and Logistics Assistant to join their team on a long-term temporary basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous warehouse, stores, logistics or manufacturing experience who enjoys a varied, hands-on role and takes pride in accuracy, organisation and teamwork.
Working within a busy stores environment, you will play a key role in ensuring materials and products are received, stored and supplied efficiently to support both customer deliveries and production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Booking in and checking incoming deliveries
β’ Accurately identifying, storing and locating stock
β’ Maintaining inventory records using internal systems
β’ Picking, packing and preparing products for dispatch
β’ Kitting materials and supplying production teams
β’ Line-feeding stock to production areas
β’ Carrying out regular stock and inventory checks
β’ Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
β’ Supporting other departments as required
Candidate Requirements:
β’ Previous experience within a stores, warehouse, logistics or manufacturing environment
β’ Good attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy
β’ Good IT skills and confidence using stock control systems
β’ Good numeracy and communication skills
β’ Able to work independently and as part of a team
β’ Positive, flexible and reliable approach to work
β’ Ability to undertake manual handling duties, including lifting up to 25kg
β’ Willingness to work overtime when required
β’ A Counterbalance Forklift Licence would be advantageous, although not essential

The hours of work are Monday-Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm and Friday 7:30am-1:30pm.
