Temporary HR Advisor
Central Cambridge
Full-time, Monday to Friday - office-based role
Up to £40,000 FTE

We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join a friendly and welcoming organisation on an initial 8-12 week temporary assignment. Reporting to the Head of HR, you'll become part of a small and supportive HR team, working alongside an HR Business Partner and HR Administrator. This is a varied, hands-on generalist role supporting approximately 6-7 managers and their teams. You'll provide practical HR advice and guidance across a range of employee relations matters and day-to-day people activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising managers on employee relations matters
- Managing absence cases and occupational health referrals
- Supporting flexible working requests
- Providing practical, employee-focused HR guidance
- Assisting with recruitment activity
- Maintaining accurate HR administration and documentation
- Supporting managers with day-to-day people challenges
About you:
- Previous experience in an HR Advisor role
- Confident handling employee relations casework
- Strong organisational and HR administration skills
- Comfortable working independently and building relationships with managers
