An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant to join a growing and innovative business in Cambridge. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career in finance within a supportive team, with study support available towards professional qualifications. Within this role, you will report into the Head of Finance.

As the incoming Finance Assistant, you will be tasked with the following duties, including but not limited to:

  • Processing supplier invoices, expenses and payment runs.
  • Maintaining bank accounts and completing reconciliations.
  • Supporting fund accounting activities, including investor payments and drawdowns.
  • Raising sales invoices and assisting with cash management processes.
  • Providing general support across the finance function and contributing to improvement projects.

As the successful applicant, you will have strong numerical and organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and confidence using Microsoft Excel. Experience within a similar accountancy and finance role would be beneficial. You will be proactive, eager to learn and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team. Candidates studying towards, or interested in pursuing, an accountancy qualification such as AAT, CIMA or ACCA are encouraged to apply.
