We are looking for a proactive HR Assistant to join a well established manufacturing business in Braintree. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about HR to develop their experience and further their career.

The role will be to support the HR and Payroll teams with day to day activities and provide a great generalist experience for someone keen to learn.

Key Details

  • 08:00-17:00 Monday to Friday
  • Hybrid working after probation
  • Starting salary circa Β£30,000
  • Ideal for someone looking to further develop their HR experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Process employee starters and leavers, including contracts and employment documentation
  • Maintain and update employee records on internal systems
  • Update the team on findings from various people related reports
  • Support managers with basic HR related queries and probationary processes
  • Assist with weekly and monthly payroll administration, including timecard checks
  • Respond to payroll queries via email, phone and internal systems
  • Calculate starter and leaver information and issue relevant payroll documentation

Experience

  • Previous experience in HR and Payroll
  • Ideally knowledge of HR and payroll systems
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
  • Working towards, or interested in pursuing, a HR qualification
