We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mortgage Sales Manager to lead a team of 12 Mortgage & Protection Advisers across the Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Surrey region. This is a management focused leadership role for someone with a proven track record of building and running high-performing mortgage adviser teams. Your focus will be on driving performance, developing talent, and growing the team through effective recruitment, coaching and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage and motivate a team of 12 Mortgage & Protection Advisers across the region
- Drive team performance against targets through regular reviews, coaching and structured performance management
- Design and deliver ongoing training and development programmes to raise adviser capability and case quality
- Identify skills gaps and create individual development plans for advisers at all experience levels
- Conduct regular one-to-ones, file reviews and quality/compliance checks across the team
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex cases, performance issues and team queries
- Work closely with senior leadership to shape regional strategy, budgets and growth plans
- Foster a positive, high-performance team culture that supports retention and engagement
- Ensure the team consistently meets regulatory and compliance standards
Experience Required:
- Proven experience managing a sizeable team of Mortgage & Protection Advisers
- Strong track record of team recruitment, training and development
- Demonstrable ability to drive performance improvement and hit team targets
- CeMAP qualified (or equivalent) preferred, though the focus of this role is management rather than advising
- Excellent leadership, coaching and people management skills
- Confident communicator, able to influence and build relationships at all levels
- Strong understanding of mortgage and protection compliance requirements
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Surrey area
