The Role - Contracts Associate
The main focus of the Contracts Associate role is to provide contracting and general administrative support to the agents and booking team, alongside the Business Affair Director. The Contracts Associate will report into the Business Affair Director who will generate the day to day ‘work-flow’. The Contracts Associate will work closely with the Finance team to ensure contracts are completed correctly for finance and tax purposes etc., and the Booking Teams to ensure contracts are created accurately and in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Issuing contracts for live performances to deadlines and ensuring execution
- Communicating with management and promoters on redlines
- Reviewing Offer Letters for shows/festivals
- Management of the ‘Contracts’ Inbox
- Drafting, reviewing and issuing Terms of Business for new clients
- Data inputting and management of database including maintaining library of executed agreements
- Assisting with the legal process relating to international tax matters
- Ad hoc duties to support the team (eg. creating and issuing deal confirmations)
- Assisting in the monitoring and development of internal systems
- Supporting where required the creating / updating of company legal templates
From time to time and at the discretion of Director, Business Affair Director and/or General Manager you may be required to perform other duties not previously detailed in your job description which are reasonably within your capabilities, to meet the specific needs of the business.

The Person
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- 2 - 3 years’ legal or contracting experience within a music related company (live music agency / promoter experience preferred)
- Confidence working across a broad range of domestic and international deals.
- A strong grasp of working with numbers and an impeccable attention to detail.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel & Word) & Adobe
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and listening).
- Exceptional organisation skills and proficiency in working to deadlines.
- Experience to efficiently manage a high volume of emails and prioritise
