The role… Playing a key role in supporting commercial performance, providing data-driven insight across Operations, Growth, Marketing and Retention, and building a continuously improving finance culture. This role is ideal for someone analytical and curious, with strong financial and commercial acumen.
Duties and responsibilities of the role are:
- Analyse business financial performance and key metrics, including Margin, Revenue, CAC and CLTV.
- Ownership of variance analysis, helping develop a deep understanding of performance drivers against budget.
- Assist in preparing board-level reporting and presentations.
- Supporting in producing management accounts.
- Build financial models to aid decision making and forecast cycles.
- Work closely with the finance team to support robust reporting, and with cross-functional budget holders to provide insight and improve commercial performance.
- Help improve reporting processes, automation, and data-quality.
About you…
- Great communication skills, working well within both the Finance team and cross-functionally.
- Understanding that the team fails or succeeds together and use mistakes to learn how we can all improve.
- Comfortable working with data to inform insights on how to improve commercial performance.
- Continuously iterating and improving on processes to deliver better and more efficient reports and analysis.
It’s essential that you have:
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified
- Experience working in a similar role previously
- Strong analytical skills with a commercial mindset
- Excellent Excel skills; experience with SQL, BI Tools (Looker) and FP&A Tools (Abacum, Datarails) is a plus
