Our client, Salt of the Earth Natural, is a family-owned, B Corp certified manufacturer producing natural deodorants from its Chandlers Ford facility. With a strong international presence and a commitment to sustainability, the business supplies products to over 35 countries and continues to invest in both its people and operations.
They are looking for a creative, hands-on Formulation Scientist to develop and improve our natural deodorant and body care range. You'll explore new ingredients and formulations, carry out testing and help shape the direction of new product development as the business expands into wider body care.
This is more than a laboratory role. You'll have a real say in how the NPD process evolves, working with marketing, customer data and software engineers to help us develop the right products and improve how we work.

Formulation Scientist, the role:
Formulation and product development
- Develop new natural deodorant and body care formulations across a range of formats, including aqueous sprays and roll-ons, anhydrous sticks and balms.
- Improve existing formulations through testing, iteration and refinement.
- Explore new ingredients, formats and approaches, bringing fresh ideas and industry knowledge into the laboratory.
- Prepare formulation and safety data for Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR) submission, working with the external safety assessor. xgikmsk
- Ensure formulations remain within the company's certification requirements, including COSMOS Natural, Vegan Society and Leaping Bunny.
