World-Class Engineering Solutions
Our client, Transformers & Rectifiers Ltd is an independent British company and a specialist world leader in the design, manufacture, installation, and maintenance of liquid filled, cast resin, and dry type transformers and transformer rectifiers. They also manufacture products for radiotherapy equipment used for the treatment of cancer all over the world.
They are now looking for an experienced Technical Sales to join their well established, sales team based in Guildford, Surrey. You will be responsible for generating sales, proactively looking for enquiries or reactively answering customer enquiries and presenting specifications or quotations for the customer.
Technical Sales, the role:
- Liaise with existing customers – receiving and processing enquiries; raising quotations numbers and produce costings; reviewing documents; looking for upselling opportunities; attending meetings to understand their needs and expectations
- Assisting in producing preliminary electrical designs and completing written tenders
- Working closely with vendors for costing purposes
- Collaborating with engineering department, sales department colleagues and Sales Director
- Contacting potential new clients by phone and email
Technical Sales, skills and experience:
- Electrical Engineering Qualifications or equivalent desirable
- Electrical engineering background with transformer design experience would be beneficial
- Working in a technical environment is a must
- Knowledge of operating C.A.D. to review drawings
- Ability to work to strict deadlines while maintaining the outstanding attention to detail
- Excellent communication and written skills
- Team player, but capable of working independently
- Experienced in using ERP/MRP systems (training on specific T&R system will be given)
- Awareness of ISO 9001 quality procedures
- Full UK Driving Licence
