Our client, Salt of the Earth Natural, is a family-owned, B Corp certified manufacturer with a global presence, supplying products to over 35 countries. Alongside its manufacturing operations, the business is developing its own end-to-end software platform covering CRM, stock forecasting, pricing and operational systems. Rather than relying on off-the-shelf tools, the team is focused on building scalable, intelligent solutions that support real-world processes across the organisation.
They are now seeking an AI-Assisted Software Developer to join the team and play a key role in designing, building and evolving these systems.
Software Developer the role:- Design, build and iterate internal software tools supporting business operations
- Work across multiple departments to understand challenges and develop practical solutions
- Develop and maintain applications using modern frameworks such as React / Next.js
- Integrate systems with third-party platforms including ERP, logistics and payment solutions
- Use AI coding tools as a core part of development workflows
- Contribute to the development of a headless ecommerce platform
- Write clean, maintainable and secure code following best practice
- Manage version control and collaboration through GitHub
- Support ongoing system improvements, performance and scalability
- Contribute ideas and take ownership of projects from concept through to delivery
- Strong experience with JavaScript / TypeScript and modern web frameworks
- Experience using AI coding tools within a development workflow
- Proficient in Git and collaborative development practices
- Experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL or similar
- Understanding of software architecture, testing and maintainability
- Awareness of application security and data protection principles
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and improve business processes
- Comfortable working autonomously within a small, agile team
- Experience with Shopify or ecommerce platforms
- Exposure to manufacturing, logistics or supply chain systems
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
