Our client, Salt of the Earth Natural, is a family‑owned, B Corp‑certified manufacturer with a global presence, supplying products to over 35 countries. Alongside its manufacturing operations, the business is developing its own end‑to‑end software platform covering CRM, stock forecasting, pricing and operational systems. Rather than relying on off‑the‑shelf tools, the team is focused on building scalable, intelligent solutions that support real‑world processes across the organisation. They are now seeking an AI‑Assisted Software Developer to join the team and play a key role in designing, building and evolving these systems.
Software Developer: The Role
- Design, build and iterate internal software tools supporting business operations
- Work across multiple departments to understand challenges and develop practical solutions
- Develop and maintain applications using modern frameworks such as React / Next.js
- Integrate systems with third‑party platforms including ERP, logistics and payment solutions
- Use AI coding tools as a core part of development workflows
- Contribute to the development of a headless ecommerce platform
- Write clean, maintainable and secure code following best practice
- Manage version control and collaboration through GitHub
- Support ongoing system improvements, performance and scalability
- Contribute ideas and take ownership of projects from concept through to delivery
Qualifications
- Strong experience with JavaScript / TypeScript and modern web frameworks
- Experience using AI coding tools within a development workflow
- Proficient in Git and collaborative development practices
- Experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL or similar
- Understanding of software architecture, testing and maintainability
- Awareness of application security and data protection principles
- Problem‑solving mindset with the ability to identify and improve business processes
- Comfortable working autonomously within a small, agile team
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Shopify or ecommerce platforms
- Exposure to manufacturing, logistics or supply chain systems
