Service Desk Administrator in London

RK Marine is the South Coast’s Volvo Penta main dealer as well as marine engineering company, committed to serve the commercial and leisure marine industries and their products and services, which include engine sales, boat engine repairs, parts sales and a range of boat yard services.
RK Marine, the outstanding marine services, are looking for an exceptionally experienced administrator to join their busy Engineering Department at their boat yard operation In Swanwick, Southampton. This position is wide-ranging and demanding, but in the same time very satisfying and enjoyable.
The role:
Dealing directly with customers
Scheduling weekly engineering operations
Preparing and issuing estimates
Working closely with Technicians (purchasing and preparing parts for the engineering jobs, managing labour times)
Supervising PPE, consumable and clothing
Assisting Engineering Manager with issuing and payments of invoices and deposits
Arranging services and MOTs for the company vans.
The person:
Brilliant administrative and customer services background is required (technical parts sale, knowledge of engines and their components or engineering background is desirable but not essential).
In addition, our client will be expecting:
Magnificent problem solver with an excellent attention to detail
Ability to multitask, prioritisation of jobs and experience in working within a very busy environment
Methodical and resourceful team player with structured approach to work
Organised individual with perfect verbal and written skills, great telephone manner and good IT skills
Familiarity of using a computerised stock control system would be an advantage (although full training on RK Marine’s system will be given)

Please note, your working hours will be 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 4.30pm on Friday as well as 9.00am to 12.00 one Saturday every 3 weeks.
