We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Operations Director to lead and scale our operational functions, ensuring excellence across service delivery, compliance, and financial management.
Role
- Lead and develop the Operations Team to achieve collective and individual goals.
- Work with Directors to turn company strategy into operational plans.
- Oversee operational processes including referrals, tutor allocation, compliance, and safeguarding.
- Monitor performance, implement reporting systems, and ensure continuous improvement.
- Manage operational budgets, ensuring efficiency and profitability.
- Oversee debt management, cash control, and financial reporting.
- Support business growth, including expansion into new regions and services.
- Represent ABC Education at external meetings and forums, promoting company values.
- Ensure compliance with statutory frameworks and safeguarding practices.
- Identify risks and oversee contingency planning.
Person
- Proven senior leadership experience in operations, ideally within education, alternative provision, or a similar service‑led sector.
- Strong commercial and financial management skills, including budgeting and performance reporting.
- Track record of scaling teams and driving business growth.
- Excellent organisational ability with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, compliance, and safer recruitment.
- Confident communicator, negotiator, and influencer with excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Goal‑driven with a record of achieving business objectives.
