Operations Director

Bordon, Hampshire

Full time, permanent

Hours: Monday–Thursday 9am–5pm, Friday 9am–4pm.

Salary: 60-70k

They are an experienced and commercially minded Operations Director to lead and scale their operational functions, ensuring excellence across service delivery, compliance, and financial management.

Operations Director, the role:

  • Lead and develop the Operations Team to achieve collective and individual goals.
  • Work with Directors to turn company strategy into operational plans.
  • Oversee operational processes including referrals, tutor allocation, compliance, and safeguarding.
  • Monitor performance, implement reporting systems, and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Manage operational budgets, ensuring efficiency and profitability.
  • Oversee debt management, cash control, and financial reporting.
  • Support business growth, including expansion into new regions and services.
  • Represent ABC Education at external meetings and forums, promoting company values.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory frameworks and safeguarding practices.
  • Identify risks and oversee contingency planning.

Operations Director, the person:

  • Proven senior leadership experience in operations, ideally within education, alternative provision, or a similar service-led sector.
  • Strong commercial and financial management skills, including budgeting and performance reporting.
