Home to a diverse community of technology, science and knowledge-based organisations, the Science Park plays a key role in supporting enterprise, collaboration and economic growth across the region. They are now seeking an enthusiastic and organised Events Coordinator to join their Business Development team.
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a varied events programme that brings together tenants, partners and the wider business community through engaging networking, educational and community events.
Events Coordinator, the role:- Develop and coordinate an engaging annual programme of community and business events
- Plan and deliver events from concept through to successful completion
- Coordinate venues, suppliers, catering, equipment and guest logistics
- Develop event timelines and ensure all milestones are delivered on schedule
- Lead on-site event delivery, ensuring an outstanding attendee experience
- Monitor attendance, gather feedback and recommend improvements for future events
- Research successful initiatives delivered by other business parks and innovation hubs
- Engage with Science Park occupiers to identify events that add value to the community
- Work closely with the Marketing Manager to promote events across digital channels
- Monitor tenant news and social media to identify opportunities for wider promotion
- Ensure all events comply with health and safety requirements and risk assessments
- Provide wider administrative and operational support to the Business Development team as required
- Previous experience planning and delivering successful events
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
- Confident building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- Strong customer service focus with a proactive approach
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Comfortable using social media to promote events and engage audiences
- Able to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team
- An interest in the science and technology sector would be advantageous
- Experience managing event budgets and supplier negotiations
- Familiarity with event management platforms such as Eventbrite
- Experience working within a business park, commercial property or membership organisation
