Contract: Self-employed | Part-time to Full-time (flexible hours)

Hours: Flexible between 9am-3:30pm, term time only.

Our client, ABC Education, is an award-winning alternative provision tutoring company supporting disengaged children and young people across over 40 local authorities in the UK. They specialise in providing bespoke, learner-centred education for students who require a more flexible and personalised approach to learning.

Due to continued demand, ABC Education is now seeking experienced SEND Tutors (QTS) to support learners across the Dorchester area between EYFS and A-Level.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver personalised Maths and/or English tuition to students with SEND
  • Create engaging, project-based learning programmes to support re-engagement
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with learners
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles and needs
  • Complete session reports and provide clear feedback on student progress
  • Work in line with safeguarding, health & safety, and organisational policies
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience
  • Experience working with learners with SEND, including SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other additional needs
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Two professional references
  • UK-based with the right to work in the UK
  • Full UK driving licence
