Pure Healthcare Group are currently seeking a Toxicologist to work with our clients in North West England.

Job Reference: PHGT001

Location: North West England

Duties:

  • Development, validation, and implementation of new methods, in line with ISO17025 (2017) and Lab51 accreditation.
  • 5yrs+ Experience of performing second line clinical results and witness reporting.
  • Drawing up of validation protocols and the production of validation reports in compliance with our Quality Management System.
  • Technical evaluation and refinement of existing processes and development of more efficient and robust methods in hair, urine, blood and oral fluid sample types.
  • Support investigations into Quality Control trends when required.
  • Advising on and carrying out quality investigations.
  • Delivering training to Toxicology analytical team when required.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • Excellent understanding of drug extraction techniques, notably LLE and SPE.
  • A thorough understanding of chromatographic techniques (such as Q-TOF, Orbitrap, GC-MS and LC-MS/MS).
  • Troubleshooting LC-MS/MS instrumentation, both hardware and software.
  • A thorough understanding of good laboratory practice including ISO17025, and Lab 51 is essential.
  • Technically minded and the ability to problem solve effectively.
  • Familiarity with Thermo and/or Waters equipment essential.
