This is a new Graduate Engineer role at Pure Electric. This role links Engineering and Operations and focuses on how products perform once they are in the real world. As a Graduate Warranty & Repairs Engineer, you will work with product engineers and repair centres to understand failures, improve repair quality, and feed practical learning back into product design.

You will help turn engineering designs and specifications into clear, workable repair processes. You’ll analyse warranty and repair data, investigate recurring faults, and support consistent, technically sound repair decisions across the repair network. This is a hands-on engineering role. You will spend time in the office, workshops, repair centres, and the field, learning how products actually fail, how they are repaired under real constraints, and how small design or process changes can significantly improve reliability and serviceability.

How the Role Adds Value

  • Engineering → Operations: Ensuring designs, tolerances, and failure modes are understood and repaired correctly in the field.
  • Operations → Engineering: Feeding back failure data, repair challenges, and quality trends to improve future products.
  • Central → Partners: Acting as a trusted technical point of contact for distributors and repair centres.

Key Responsibilities

  • Distributor & Repair Centre Technical Support: Act as a technical interface for distributors and repair centres, supporting diagnosis, repair standards, and warranty requirements. Help partners interpret technical documentation, failure modes, and repair procedures. Escalate complex or unclear issues with clear technical summaries and recommendations. Support onboarding of new repair centres, ensuring technical readiness and process alignment.
  • Warranty Assessment & Engineering Judgement: Support the technical assessment and approval of warranty claims, applying engineering judgement to real-world evidence. Ensure warranty decisions are consistent, fair, and technically justified. Identify trends in warranty approvals, denials, and repeat failures across the repair network.
  • Quality Control & Repair Validation: Perform QC checks on repaired units and returned components. Audit repair quality and adherence to standards across internal and external repair centres. Identify workmanship or process gaps and support corrective actions. Ensure quality findings are reflected in updated repair standards and training.
  • Training & Enablement: Support delivery of technical training to distributors and repair centres. Help develop and improve training materials, service bulletins, and repair guides. Ensure partners are equipped to repair products correctly, safely, and consistently.
  • Data, Insight & Continuous Improvement: Analyse warranty, repair, and QC data to identify systemic issues. Translate field data into actionable insights for Engineering, Product, and Quality teams. Support initiatives that reduce repeat failures and improve repair turnaround times.

Who This Role Is For

This role is ideal for a graduate engineer who enjoys hands-on problem solving, wants exposure beyond pure design or lab-based engineering, is interested in product reliability, quality, and lifecycle performance, likes working with people as much as systems and data, and wants to build engineering judgement quickly through real-world exposure.

Career Path

This role builds strong foundations for progression into Product Engineering, Reliability or Quality Engineering, Technical Operations / Field Engineering, Aftersales or Warranty Leadership.
