We’re now looking for a passionate and driven Graduate Product and Procurement Engineer to join our team - working at the intersection of product development and supply chain to help shape the future of micromobility.
Job Overview: In this unique graduate role, you’ll split your time between two key areas:
- Supporting the engineering team in product design and development.
- Supporting with sourcing, supplier engagement, and component selection.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants hands-on engineering experience while also gaining exposure to the commercial and operational side of bringing products to market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engineering (50%): Assist in the design and development of e-scooter components from concept through to production. Support Design, CAD modelling and prototyping of parts and assemblies. Collaborate with the engineering team on performance testing and validation. Help select materials and manufacturing processes alongside engineers and suppliers.
- Procurement & Sourcing (50%): Manage the sourcing and procuring of components, samples and tooling for new and existing products and accessories from Chinese/Taiwanese supply chain. Supplier communication (in English and Mandarin), quote comparisons and lead time tracking. Maintain accurate procurement records and bills of materials. Work with engineers and supply chain to optimise cost, quality and manufacturability of parts. Finding new and alternative suppliers for new manufacturing techniques or product ideas.
Skills & Experience:
- Mandarin speaking proficiency required
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. Onshape, SolidWorks, NX, Creo).
- Experience with component design for manufacture is preferred.
- Interest in supply chain, sourcing or manufacturing operations.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to balance technical and commercial thinking.
- Strong communication and organisation skills.
- Proactive attitude and ability to work independently and in teams.
- Some experience (internships, projects, or part-time) in engineering or procurement is a bonus.
Required Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related discipline.
