We are seeking a dedicated HVAC Lead Engineer to ensure the reliability, compliance, and performance of mechanical systems in a mission-critical data centre. You will lead maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC systems, manage vendor works, and support operational improvements to guarantee 100% uptime.
Responsibilities
- Lead maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC systems such as CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, AHUs, and FCUs
- Manage vendor works and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Support root cause analysis and operational improvements for mechanical incidents
Qualifications
- F-Gas Cat 1 certification (City & Guilds)
- 4+ yearsβ experience in HVAC/mechanical systems
- Knowledge of data centre HVAC plant, BMS/PPM/CAFM systems, and PtW processes
- Strong problem-solving skills and a calm, methodical approach
- Legionella awareness and safe mechanical practices
Skills and Attitude
- Experience maintaining pumps, HVAC systems, compressors, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and related systems
- Knowledge of international HSE standards
- Previous experience managing a small team
- Customer-facing experience and ability to handle challenging technical situations
