Job Title : Ashes Delivery Specialist
Salary: £29,967.94 per annum
Location: York
Hours: 40 hours per week (includes some overnight stays as required)

As an Ashes Delivery Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring cremated remains are returned to families with empathy, professionalism, and respect, helping to create a positive and lasting impression of Pure Cremation.

The Role
The Ashes Delivery Specialist is dedicated to returning cremated remains and personal items to clients in a deeply respectful, empathetic, and timely manner. Serving as a key customer champion and Brand Ambassador, this role combines compassionate care with meticulous CRM management, digital tracking, and safe vehicle operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Dedicated Handover and Client Care
- Contact applicants by telephone to make suitable arrangements for the return of ashes and personal jewellery as instructed.
- Schedule and keep agreed delivery appointments, maintaining regular communication regarding estimated arrival times throughout the day.
- Return cremated remains in an empathetic, dignified manner, tailoring your support and care to the situational needs of the recipient.
- Obtain customer signatures upon the safe return of ashes and collect recipient feedback to support continuous service improvement.
- Act as a dedicated Customer Champion and Brand Ambassador, delivering exemplary customer service to all clients, including vulnerable individuals.
2. CRM Management and Digital Body Tracking
- Utilise the Body Tracking Application with 100% compliance, scanning QR codes to log progress at every stage of the journey.
- Maintain expertise in the company CRM system to log appointment details, track progress and manage the return workflow accurately.
- Ensure all customer records, signatures, and legal documentation are completed in a methodical, compliant manner.
3. Procedural Compliance and Safety
- Execute all tasks in full alignment with company procedures, regulatory rules, and data protection policies.
- Perform duties safely within personal capability, strictly adhering to established manual handling techniques in physically demanding scenarios.
4. Fleet Care and Driving Operations
- Ensure allocated vehicles are roadworthy, clean, presentable and fully equipped before commencing any journey.
- Log and report vehicle defects or routine maintenance requirements promptly to line management.
- Drive within the law and company expectations, maintaining a courteous driving style that reflects positively on the company.
Candidate Profile
Experience and Qualifications
- Procedural Compliance: Experience working strictly in accordance with detailed operational processes and customer service guidelines.
- Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence with a commitment to safe, courteous driving.
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness and capability to complete overnight stays as dictated by delivery schedules.
- Physical Capability: Capability to perform in a physically demanding role while adhering to manual handling standard
Key Skills and Attributes
- Communication and Empathy: Outstanding listening and interpersonal skills, with the emotional resilience needed to support vulnerable clients.
- IT Proficiency: Ability to become an expert in mobile body tracking applications and CRM database management.
- Autonomy and Reliability: Proven ability to manage time effectively, solve problems independently, and work with minimal supervision.
- Professional Appearance: Smart, well-presented presentation in uniform at all times.
