Help Shape a Safer Future

Are you passionate about Health and Safety and energised by helping people learn, grow, and work safely?

We're looking for an engaging and experienced Health and Safety Trainer to join our Learning and Development team and play a key role in building a strong, proactive safety culture across our growing organisation.

You'll be joining a successful Group of companies specialising in end-of-life and later-life planning, including funeral plans, insurance products, and cremation services. As a direct-to-consumer business regulated by the FCA, we are proud to be the market leader, with exceptional brand recognition and more 5-star Trustpilot reviews than any of our competitors.

At the heart of our success are our people. This is an exciting opportunity to make a genuine impact by equipping colleagues with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to work safely, support one another, and deliver exceptional outcomes for our customers.

Why Join Us?

This is far more than a training role.

You'll have the opportunity to influence behaviours, drive positive change, and help create safer workplaces across a diverse and growing Group. Whether you're delivering engaging classroom sessions, coaching operational teams on-site, or developing innovative learning solutions, your work will directly contribute to colleague wellbeing, compliance, and business success.

If you're someone who loves being in front of people, building relationships, travelling to different locations, and making a real difference every day, we'd love to hear from you.

Our Values, Your Impact

At Pure, our values aren't just words on a wall. They guide everything we do.

As our Health and Safety Trainer, you'll:

  • Take pride in delivering an outstanding learning experience.
  • Care deeply about our customers, their families, and your colleagues.
  • Take ownership and accountability for your role in creating safer workplaces.
  • Challenge the status quo and never settle for second best.
  • Inspire others to embrace safe working practices and continuous improvement.

You'll become a visible and trusted ambassador for Health and Safety across the business, helping colleagues understand not just what they need to do, but why it matters.

What You'll Be Doing

As our Health and Safety Trainer, you'll:

  • Deliver engaging Health and Safety training programmes across multiple sites and operational areas.
  • Travel regularly throughout the Group to deliver training, coaching, assessments, and local safety initiatives.
  • Facilitate mandatory, regulatory, and role-specific Health and Safety learning programmes.
  • Support colleagues, managers, and Team Leaders in developing safe working knowledge, behaviours, and confidence.
  • Conduct workplace observations, coaching sessions, toolbox talks, and follow-up activities to reinforce learning.
  • Develop and enhance training materials to ensure content remains practical, engaging, and compliant.
  • Work closely with operational teams and subject matter experts to embed best practice Health and Safety standards.
  • Work in partnership with our Heath and Safety team, and trainer colleagues.
  • Manage training schedules, learner records, and compliance reporting through our Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Support audits, inspections, and accreditation requirements through accurate record keeping and training documentation.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and identify opportunities to improve safety performance across the Group.
  • Champion a positive, proactive safety culture where everyone takes responsibility for working safely.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who combines strong Health and Safety knowledge with a natural ability to engage, influence, and inspire others.

You'll Bring:

  • Experience delivering Health and Safety training in operational or multi-site environments.
  • A UK recognised Health and Safety Qualification
  • A strong understanding of UK Health and Safety legislation and best practice.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, both face-to-face and virtually.
  • Experience coaching individuals and teams to improve safety awareness and behaviours.
  • The ability to engage audiences at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and maintaining compliance records.
  • Confidence in building trusted relationships with stakeholders across the business.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • A full UK driving licence and the ability to travel regularly between company locations.

The Person Behind the Role

You'll be:

  • Passionate about creating safer workplaces.
  • Personable, approachable, and supportive.
  • A confident communicator and natural facilitator.
  • Self-motivated and highly organised.
  • Adaptable and comfortable working within a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Resilient, positive, and solutions-focused.
  • Committed to helping colleagues succeed.
  • Driven to make a meaningful impact on safety culture and compliance.

What Success Looks Like

In this role, you'll help create a workplace where:

  • Colleagues feel confident and well-equipped to work safely.
  • Managers actively champion Health and Safety.
  • Learning translates into real behavioural change.
  • Compliance standards are maintained and strengthened.
  • Safety becomes everyone's responsibility.

Most importantly, you'll help protect our people while supporting a business that makes a real difference in the lives of the customers we serve.

Our Benefits

  • 30 days’ holiday, plus bank holidays – giving you more time to switch off and recharge
  • Bupa Health Cash Plan to help with everyday healthcare costs
  • Discounted gym membership and a Cycle to Work Scheme to support your health and wellbeing
  • A friendly, supportive and modern working environment, with free on-site parking
  • A comprehensive induction and access to our Learning and Development
  • Academy to help you grow
  • Enhanced family-friendly benefits to support you through life’s important moments
  • 24/7 confidential support through our Employee Assistance Programme
  • Life Assurance for added peace of mind
  • A Company Pension, with a SMART Pension option

If you're ready to take the lead in developing a positive safety culture and want to work for a market-leading organisation that truly values its people, we'd love to hear from you.
