Pure is the UK’s best-known direct cremation provider.
We’ve challenged traditional funeral conventions to offer people a simpler, more affordable choice – and we’re continuing to grow and evolve.
This is a varied, hands-on role within a fast-moving, high-volume environment.
You’ll work across several areas of finance, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, tax and procurement, while helping us improve our systems and processes.
- What you’ll be doing
- Providing support and cover across accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Supporting the management of procurement and helping ensure the correct supplier processes are followed.
- Assisting with the preparation and processing of monthly payroll.
- Responding to payroll-related queries from colleagues.
- Preparing employment, corporation and VAT returns, working with external advisers where required.
- Providing day-to-day finance support and responding to queries from across the business.
- Supporting the maintenance and development of Net Suite and our wider finance systems.
- Identifying opportunities to improve, simplify and strengthen finance processes.
- Keeping up to date with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
- What we’re looking for
You’ll have solid experience in a finance or accounting role and a good understanding of day-to-day transactional finance.
You’ll be comfortable managing varied priorities while maintaining a consistently high level of accuracy.
You’ll also bring
- At least five years’ experience in a finance or accounting role.
- Experience across transactional finance operations.
- Previous experience using Net Suite ERP.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when processing financial information.
- A proactive and organised approach to your work.
- The confidence to respond to queries and work with colleagues across the business.
- An interest in improving systems, processes and ways of working.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
