Nursery Practitioner

Level 3 Nursery Practitioner – Ref No. PK62498 We are actively recruiting for Level 3 Nursery Practitioners / Nursery Assistants to join a popular independent day nursery in the Forest Hill area, working in the Baby Room or Toddler Room. (Flexibility to change if preferred) This are full time, permanent positions with flexibility offered in the hours and shift times. They can offer longer hours (8am-6pm) across a 4 day working week, or a short day (8-5, 8:30-5:30, 9-6) working 5 days per week. Salary ranges from £(phone number removed) per annum with great opportunities for progression within the organisation. This established Nursery offers a secure and engaging environment for early learning, featuring three age-appropriate rooms tailored for various activities. The Nursery is easily accessible by excellent transport links. Both Forest Hill and Catford train stations are only 15 minutes’ walk away, and there are multiple bus routes running nearby. Level 3 Nursery Practitioner Key Duties, You will: * Support the staff team, offering day to day guidance and support to other Nursery Assistants * Ensure the safety of children is paramount and be aware of any potential dangers around them * Be responsible for feeding, washing and changing the children, and generally tending to their physical needs * Need to plan and participate in activities to engage and teach the child, eg. music, painting, reading etc. * Need to liaise with parents and your surrounding team members, monitor progress, keep records and reports, and communicate any suggested improvements that can be made to help the child’s development Level 3 Nursery Practitioner Skills and Experience * NVQ/CACHE Level 3 preferred * A good understanding and knowledge of EYFS * Ideally 2+ years’ experience of working in a nursery or similar early-years setting For more information on this Level 3 Nursery Practitioner role please call Phil King on (phone number removed)
