This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about shaping young minds, leading a motivated team, and creating a warm, stimulating learning environment where children can thrive.
As our Pre-School Room Leader, you will play an essential role in delivering high-quality early years education and care. You will lead by example to ensure that every child receives exceptional attention, support and encouragement during these important developmental years. Your ability to plan engaging activities, support children’s learning journeys, and maintain a safe and nurturing space will be central to this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day running of the Pre-School room, ensuring high standards of care and education.
- Supervise, motivate, and support room staff, offering guidance, coaching, and regular feedback.
- Plan, prepare, and implement age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework.
- Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Maintain accurate observations, assessments, and developmental records for each child.
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies are consistently followed.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the setting by bringing creativity, passion, and fresh ideas.
Requirements:
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above).
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS and child development principles.
- Previous experience in a Room Leader or senior practitioner role is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
- A warm, caring, and professional approach to working with young children.
