Job Description
My Client prides itself on being a respected and well known Young High Street women'swear supplier.
They work with fast fashion brands across the high street and focus on soft woven and jersey fabrics, primarily supplying dresses.
Due to growing business a new Import Merchandiser position has become available.
The Role
- Liaising with buyers and merchandisers, running through current orders, sell‑through figures, and working through new styles to place future orders.
- Checking over customer purchase orders.
- Booking customer goods onto supplier portal system.
- Placing orders for customer barcodes or specific labelling.
- Creating purchase orders with factories and managing all approvals on fabrics and lab dips.
- Chasing production and shipping samples and managing approvals.
- Liaising with factories and customers to ensure all customer requirements are sent to the factory.
- Inputting all order information onto a critical path and maintaining it.
- Managing the customer requirements for sampling and fabric compositions with the buying team.
- Keeping the shipment documents updated for all orders placed and ensuring all goods are shipped on time.
- Organising the booking of goods into DC with the freight forwarder.
We are looking for an experienced Import Merchandiser with a minimum of two to three years of work experience and previous merchandising experience on the wholesale/supplier side of the industry.
This role also suits someone with account management skills (non‑sales).
