The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2-3 years experience designing outerwear, preferably for a supplier or retail brand, with experience in young high street accounts.
The designer must be confident and able to work within a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with the Sales Director and the designers in China to create trend-led ranges, research global trends, and keep ahead of the competition. We are looking for passionate, driven designers to bring innovative ideas.
The ideal candidate must have:
- Ability to identify current trends and shapes from catwalks to blog sites, comp shop trips, and translate into commercial product.
- Ability to produce customer trend analysis presentation boards.
- Good knowledge of techniques, fabrics, and finishes.
- Ability to work within design briefs and understand buying sign-off requirements.
- Excellent and extensive knowledge and practical use of both Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
- A keen eye for detail.
- Excellent knowledge of print and ability to produce high-quality specification sheets for samples to be made in China.
- Ability to liaise with the China development office.
- Good organisational skills and time management.
- Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to adapt to situations and deadlines by keeping a level head, thinking outside the box, and working independently as well as in a team.
