Our TeamTo build our team we are looking for a Technical Manager (referred to as Quality Manager internally) to join our growing team in Buckingham.
Your MissionTo drive the quality resource of the business forward leading the Quality Team at Buckingham whilst supporting the management decisions of the business as a whole.
As Quality Manager you will ensure the BRC standard, legislation and customer requirements are met and maintained at all times, maintain the Quality Management System, ensuring trends are identified, reported and corrective action implemented and will also work on continuous improvement projects within the business. A key part of your role will be leading the Quality Team, a team of 8, who cover quality compliance, specifications and customer compliance.
You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the food safety and quality of our product range and ensure that it fulfils the requirements of all customer codes of practice and general best practice in the food industry.
What you will do
Lead the Voice of Quality for the site, providing the vision for all employees to further the quality goals of Puratos
Lead the quality team to proactively manage all food safety and quality issues at site to ensure fast resolution of concerns and issues
Develop and manage the annual Quality budget
Ensure the site delivers on all quality targets ensuring that the company standards are maintained while also meeting the customer expectations
Proactively lead the site plans and responses to customer complaints, ensuring management accountability to identify and address current or emerging trends of concern
Be the site lead on all customer audits, maintaining key audit rankings
Oversee all food safety and regulatory compliance initiatives including HACCP, SQF, FSMA, Pest Control and Sanitation ensuring they are carried out in line with the highest industry standards and regulatory compliance
Lead the Quality team, a team of 8, in line with our Magic Moments, growing talent and building succession planning
What we expect from you
Proven senior management and leadership experience within a FMCG manufacturing environment.
Proven people management experience i.e. managing a team through effective use of performance reviews, coaching, training and disciplinary procedures as required.
Change agent; ability to demonstrate a track record of delivering sustainable change initiatives and results.
Proven track record of achievement in technical and food safety.
Excellent communication skills; ability to liaise with varying stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Self‐motivated.
Significant and innovative problem‐solving skills.
