Your Mission Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in keeping our busy production environment running smoothly. Carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding, and technical support across a wide variety of plant, machinery, and site services. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where your expertise will directly minimise downtime and support efficient, safe, and reliable production.
What You Will Do:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to ensure all machinery and site services remain safe, reliable, and efficient.
- Diagnose faults quickly and effectively to minimise production downtime.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing knowledge, ideas, and best practice within the Engineering team.
- Support and achieve departmental KPIs and operational targets.
- Maintain a positive, collaborative working environment.
- Work safely at all times, following company policies, procedures, and permit-to-work systems.
What We Expect From You:
- Recognised engineering apprenticeship, training or degree.
- Electrical engineering qualification.
- Experience with Siemens PLC software and programming.
- Experience of working in a manufacturing environment, ideally food.
- Strong mechanical problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of current Health & Safety requirements.
- Confident, proactive, with strong communication skills.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
- Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure.
- Good record-keeping skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Experience of SAP software would be beneficial, though not essential.
What You Can Expect From Puratos:
- £28.5k – 42k per annum dependent on suitability, training and experience.
- 5% bonus scheme.
- Core hours will be 40 hours per week. The team shares shifts to ensure the factory is staffed between 06:00 – 22:00.
