Maintenance Engineer Location: Buckingham

Shift Pattern:

  • Week 1: Monday to Friday, 6am to 2pm
  • Week 2: Monday to Thursday, 2pm to 12am

Salary: £55,000 plus £520 shift allowance for late shift (50p per hour)

Start Date: We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.

Your Mission

As an Engineer at our site, your mission will be guaranteeing and achieving the required availability (operational safety and efficiency) of the factory on a day-to-day basis and the active and quantifiable contribution to the continued reduction of production costs. The Engineer is responsible for supporting factory performance and is responsible for supporting the implementation of the continuous improvement program towards Operational Excellence.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Be the Guardian of Compliance – Ensure our engineering operations meet all legal, safety, and international food standards (HACCP, BRC, FDA, Halal, Kosher, and more).
  • Step into Leadership – Act as a key support to the Engineering Manager and confidently take the reins when needed.
  • Champion Safety & Quality – Promote a culture of safety and hygiene, aligning with our Health & Safety and Food Quality policies.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement – Use Manufacturing Excellence tools to streamline processes, reduce costs, and boost efficiency.
  • Strategic Maintenance Planning – Align maintenance with production goals and regulatory standards to keep everything running smoothly.
  • Lead Process Innovation – Identify and implement impactful improvements in collaboration with senior management.
  • Keep Us Running – Ensure equipment and facilities are maintained to the highest standards, minimizing downtime and maximizing performance.
  • Own the Numbers – Monitor KPIs, manage budgets, and oversee maintenance-related expenditures with precision.
  • Power Our Utilities – Oversee critical systems like HVAC, compressed air, and energy monitoring, ensuring optimal performance and sustainability.
  • Shape the Future – Support CAPEX projects, automation upgrades, and lifecycle management of key assets and utilities.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Electrical Engineering qualifications, time-served engineering qualifications.
  • At least 3 years of maintenance experience ideally in a comparable production environment.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Have good proficiency in data processing tools like SAP and Excel.
  • Be knowledgeable in preventive and predictive maintenance techniques, as well as autonomous maintenance principles.
