About the role
As our Kitchen Assistant you will assist our Chef in preparing and cooking a variety of nutritious meals for our residents. An important part of your role is to keep the kitchen clean, safe and tidy at all times while on shift. You will also help with serving meals and interact with our residents on a daily basis – you’ll be friendly, caring and kind, respecting residents’ dignity at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and comply with statutory and legal requirements such as HACCP, Health & Safety, COSHH and Environmental Health.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is in safe working order, reporting faults to Chef and Head Caretaker immediately.
- Assist in meal preparation, cooking and serving while maintaining cleanliness.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and tidy kitchen during shift.
