What does a Business Development Manager do?
You will be required to attend adviser meetings virtually, driving new and incremental premium income to Guardian from your panel of medium and large intermediaries.
You’ll be expected to build relationships with paraplanners, administrators and advisers and act as the face of Guardian.
You’ll conduct your work via telephone calls and virtual (teams) meetings.
There may be requirements to attend occasional face to face events to support our Strategic Partners, however your main duties will be done from the Reading office or home (depending on location).
You will be responsible for delivering the Guardian brand and values in the best light.
- Your Responsibilities Include But Will Not Be Limited To
- Deliver a combination of high-volume outbound calls and virtual business development activity as required by your panel of assigned accounts.
- Generate new business to meet agreed sales targets from your assigned accounts.
- Work with underwriting, servicing, and claims teams to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
- Represent Guardian at protection seminars/workshops both face to face and virtually.
- Work with the Distribution & Marketing Management Team to ensure the Guardian proposition is approved to do business with Advisers.
Who are we looking for?
- Working within the UK Intermediary market in a telephone or field-based role
- Individual protection
- Experience delivering proposition presentations F2F or virtually.
- Developing a panel of accounts to increase market share.
- Proven track record in seeking out, developing, and implementing new business opportunities in the intermediary market.
- Strong financial services background
- Good knowledge of protection product’s
- Ambition and desire to succeed.
- Self-motivation and enthusiasm
